The 9th CAM will be observed on a specific topic in the month of October
With the theme "Stay Aware, Be Cyber Smart," the Cyber Crime Awareness Foundation (CCAF) is set to observe the 9th Cyber Awareness Month-CAM throughout the month of October. The organization has announced a special week-long series of programs aimed at raising public awareness. According to the announcement, the campaign will be conducted in a hybrid model, both online and offline.
As per the declared program, the first week will focus on the protection of personal information; the second week will address the prevention of online shopping fraud; the third week will cover cyberbullying and cyber drills; and the fourth week will feature webinars, seminars, and quiz competitions on the safety of women and children online. This initiative is designed to raise awareness about rights, responsibilities, and duties in the cyber world.
These details were revealed at a "month-long October press conference" held on Saturday at the Dhaka Reporters Unity in Segunbagicha, the capital. The event was chaired by CCAF President Kazi Mustafiz, with Program Manager Abdullah Nayeem presenting the month-long agenda.
The press conference, moderated by the organization's General Secretary Nurun Ashrafi, also featured speeches from Abdullah Hasan, Chairman of Cyber Paradise Limited; Md. Ahsan Habib, Account Manager of F5 Digital Territory; Abul Hasnat Mohsin, Country Manager of SOFOS; CCAF Advisor Engineer Syed Zahid Hossain; and Sanjay Chakraborty, Vice President of Cyber Security and Privacy at mobile operator Robi.
In their speeches, they emphasized that although October is internationally recognized as Cyber Security Month, such initiatives must continue year-round to ensure personal protection. Given the evolving nature, medium, and scope of cybercrimes, this awareness campaign must never cease. Everyone must take the initiative to actively participate in these efforts.
